Christikons

The Christikon series has been ongoing from my earlier years as an artist. The series deals primarily with the contrast between ancient and modern modes. The image of Christ is created by means of a serigraph print based on the traditional icon Christ Pantokrator. This icon is one of the oldest, Christian representations that signify Christ's divinity. The background patterns contain bold colors and symbols which remind the viewer that God is doing something new in conjunction with received traditions.
